Black Friday is today. It occurs the day after Thanksgiving. Retailers offer specials because this day is regarded as the first day of the traditional Christmas shopping season.
On this day, I prefer to do my shopping on-line and avoid crowds and empty shelves. It's not always been that way, as I use to stand in line waiting on doors to open.
