Description

Poor Baby Bear is so exhausted from staying up too late in the fall, that now he can’t wake up in the spring. Even his old friends, Moose, Owl, and Hare have no luck waking the tired little bear.
A few well-placed pecks from Mother Robin does the trick and Baby Bear finally awakes just in time to do a little babysitting himself.

This charming follow-up to Baby Bear’s Not Hibernating explores themes of friendship, diversity, working as a team, and parenting; plus it concludes with fun facts and information about black bears.

My Thoughts

I love children's book that educates a child while teaching them about the importance of things in nature as well as friendship and a good sleep. In this read, children are taught about the hibernation process. Baby Bear's sleep was delayed so he sleeps much longer into the spring. His parents can't wake him, so they head off in search of food. While they're gone, his friends try to wake him and he ends up out of the cave and down the hill. His parent's return to find all is right. This book has lovely illustrations and some bear related facts to go along with the story.
