My Thoughts

This is a wonderful graphic novel for children and a great story time read. I love that it includes many important facts.

We see two friends, Chipper and Squizzo, head off on an under the sea adventure and during this time they learn about the wildlife found in the ocean. They also learn about things that are biodegradable and those that are not.

There is a lesson about why there is bioluminescence in the Abyss and how the barrier reef got its name. Water safety and pollution are also addressed when they see a turtle struggling in a fishing net. All of this and more is taught to young readers in a creative style with boldly colored 3D computer illustrations.
