Description

Slightly oversized hardcover book with excellent photos of our nation's most famous lighthouses. Each photo has a in depth description of the lighthouse and interesting facts on the history of the lighthouse. A must have for lighthouse fans.

My Thoughts

I purchased this book as it had a unique verticle shape reminding me of a lighthouse. Lighthouses to me represent "Hope". A light in the darkness helping you find your way back home.

The book is filled with lovely images and divided into four sections, 1) Conical & Cylindrical - 2) Octagonal, Square & pyramidal - 3) Electric & Victorian - 4) Reef, Caisson & Screwpile, lighthouses.

This past week, we vacationed along Lake Erie and I was able to photograph a few of the Lighthouses. Below, are some you may recognize.
