"The Sparkly Bun" is an inspiring book about individuality for children ages 5 to 12. It tells the story of Emme, a girl who loves fashion and has a passion for her favorite item, her sparkly bun. However, when Emme wears her favorite clothing to school two days in a row, her classmates make fun of her. This causes Emme to question if being different is a good thing.

Throughout the book, Emme learns that it takes courage to be true to oneself and that being different makes us all special and gives us our own identity. This children's book encourages imagination, self-esteem, self-expression, and self-discovery. It emphasizes the importance of embracing one's individuality and creativity, all through a creative and unique approach -- food!

Review: The Sparkly Bun

I sat across the table from my husband.

As he wolfed down his cheeseburger, I watched intently and said, “Are you ready to go yet?”

He responded, “Why are you in such a hurry?”

I said,  “Because I want to go home and read The Sparkly Bun again.”

This children's picture book is a loveable read and I get something more from it each time I read it.

Young children are observant about appearance and scrutinize what their peers are doing, saying, and wearing.

I think many of you have heard a child say, “ I want that because she/he has it.”

With a little assistance from Dad, Emme recognizes it is fun to appear unusual in an interesting way.

In closing, this adorable book teaches children to see their real value and to build upon themselves and their own character.
