2024 My Year in Books
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Reading, talking, and writing about books is a huge passion of mine. Today seems to be a good time to write about my 2024 reads!
This year, my first book reviewed was Blow the Lid Off. While the book is geared toward helping readers recognize what success means to them, its chief purpose is to help you find your true value and apply it creatively in various aspects of your work life.
The longest read was 541 pages and the shortest was 28 pages.
My average book length was 193 pages.
I reviewed 47 books or 9,104 pages.
According to my viewership, this year, Hacking Life After 50: 10 Ways to Beat Father Time and Live a Long, Healthy, Joy-Filled Life (Hack Learning Life) by James Alan Sturtevant and Mark Barnes is frequently viewed.
My last book review of 2024 was How Far is Far?
I am grateful for all the book review requests. In 2025 I want to continue to share more antique books, and great books by less well-known authors. I also plan to post more author interviews.
Our book club is beginning the new year with Unfinished Sentences. There is a list of 5 sentences. Each sentence is started and must be completed with a book title. I'm sure we'll have fun looking over what others are posting and it is a great way to promote reading.
Word of mouth plays a huge role in the success of the books so please share what you read.
Wishing you all the very best for 2025! Lori
