Author Spotlight Barry Shore
I first saw Barry Shore, years ago, on a talk show. I can't recall which show now but I was drawn to sit and listen to him because of his enthusiasm.
If you've not heard of Barry Shore before, he's a successful serial entrepreneur and has been dubbed the Ambassador of Joy. He has committed himself to help others learn that they can overcome challenges so they might have a positive impact on the world.
He's described that he went to work on September 17, 2004, healthy and happy. By the end of the day, he could only move his mouth. He soon learned he was afflicted with the rare neurological condition called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (aka French Polio). This condition causes the immune system to attack the body's nervous system.
In reading his book, The Joy of Living How to Slay Stress and Be Happy which releases May 11, 2021, there are many excellent chapters with useful acronym's that lean toward kindness, peace, and joy.
I appreciate The ABC's of Flow and the influence of words.
Shore reminds us which words you say. When You say them. How You say them matters. And, the most important speech you hear is self-talk. You'll also learn the five most important words a person can say on a regular basis.
He ties much of this into Proverbs 18:21 Life and Death are in the hands of the tongue.
And you can contribute your own Growth with Action.
"Choice, not chance, determines your destiny," says Shore, who after years of recovery decided to go "M.A.D" (aka to Make A Difference) and is now on a mission to transform the world through the JOY of living, every day.
I received a copy of this book from Arden Izzo, Public Relations Manager at Farrow Communications.
