I'm sitting here with 2 copies of Erec Stebbins books and thinking, "Well, ain’t today my lucky day."
What I want blog readers to know
Stebbins creates a road map for his work. His writing is energetic and persistent. The plots are immersive and atmospheric and many deal with psychological torment. His characters are diverse and he captures the human condition and connects the reader or listener. He addresses the complexity of issues, head-on, in a raw, edgy, and brash manner. Each scene is structured in a passionate and emotional way to depict society’s obsessions.
Above all, the stories challenge my thinking - make me absorb feelings - and question myself. Not something I like to do, but nonetheless, it occurs from time to time. Soon after reading Androcide's, page 5, I found myself rummaging around in my head, scrutinizing my values of life imbalances, and improvising as I read.
