URA is a fantasy novel set in a modern and slightly futuristic world where Airships are the norm for travel, and mined crystals called Shards provide everything from electricity and weather control to out-of-control super-beings known as Aurans.
The story is about Ren, a 16-year old boy living a carefree life in the Kingdom of Zinah, who is allying itself with the war-waging Kingdom of Gaia. For months, alliance supporters and protesters fought, each side doing more and more desperate stunts to prove the other wrong. But for Ren, they were all just nuisances spouting nonsense.
And when the day of the alliance came, Ren wished he sided with the protesters. The cityscapes he loved looking at were nothing more than rubble now, and everyone he knew were either taken captive by the Gaians or brutally killed by them. And when the King of Gaia took his sister, Garnet, Ren made it his life's mission to bring hell to him and the Gaians the way they did to him.

Review: Aura: Revive Edition Krisley Jior Castillo
This book is creatively geared toward a younger audience. It's anime and a little edgy with explosions, swordplay, rescues, and such. The dialog is repetitive at times.
There are 3 animatic video trailers that provide a bit of insight into the characters as well as the story.
I did like the anime and the score and learned it was the author's first piano composition, “Mirage”.

Krisley Jior Castillo loved drawing for as long as he can remember. He developed a love for writing when he turned ten and came up with the first version of Aura. His third passion, playing the piano, came later in life around 15-16 years of age. He spends his free time composing music and honing his skills in piano and drawing the characters of Aura.
