Book Blog Updates; Interviews, Reviews, and Stats

Some have questioned the blog changes and what I am working on so instead of sending out a bunch of emails I thought I would provide updates here.

I choose to continue reading a  wide range of books – from historical non-fiction to fantasy to autobiographies to nature novels to thrillersI'm reading my way through a couple of books and will reiterate that my very favorite reads have more to do with the style of writing and how they fit into my life at that time.

I've recently changed the theme of my blog and do still have the Author Spotlight page. Currently, I'm working with an author to get her interview posted in the next few weeks.

I receive a slew of emails from blog readers and enjoy many of the comments. Yes. I monitor/ moderate the comment section of the blog in an attempt to avoid public abuse - spam and trolling.

According to my blog's analytics, the top 5 operating systems recently used to view my blog are Macintosh, Windows, Linux, Android, and iPhone.

It appears climate change is on a lot of readers' minds. The top-viewed post in the last 30 days is titled Clean Energy and Climate Change. This post and turbines image I captured back in 2011. We have around 200 turbines in our county. As of January 2022, the U.S. Wind Turbine Database (USWTDB) contains more than 70,800 turbines.

Running in second place is another post on climate change titled Polar Peril  by author Margaret Pollock. The story depicts ice melting in the artic as a result of global warming.

The top-viewed post of all time is Crossroads by Mihai Brinas. Mihai recently contacted me about his latest book Connections. I've read many of the short stories from it and they are affecting and easily visualized. He's also just published Another Dream.

The top-viewed author spotlight is Birgitta HjalmarsonI was completely enchanted by the Swedish lore and atmosphere of her book Fylgia. Birgitta grew up on the west coast of Sweden and moved to the U.S.A. where she was a contributing editor for Art & Auction in New York before writing her book Fylgia.

The top 10 blog viewership in the last 30 days has been from the United States, Sweden, Ukraine, Belgium, Germany, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Egypt.

Thank you for visiting this blog and happy reading!
