I know a lot of blog viewers come here looking for reviews or checking in on new releases. I usually do some digging before I say yes to a query. I was looking through my queries this week and realized it has been a long time since I read a true crime story and I like Madinger's writing style so plan to work on reading Going Under which will be released today.

Based on the information I've seen the book contains a series of stories, vignettes, and snapshots of life undercover and provides a look at the hard-edged border between cops and criminals, and at the ways that drugs touch society. 

About The Author

John Madinger law enforcement career spanned 35 years as a narcotics investigator and a U.S. Treasury agent, where he is an advisor on money laundering and terrorism financing. The author of two law enforcement textbooks, two novels, and a history of the drug trade, he lives in Oklahoma City.
