May 2023 Reads

We have had some warm days! I mentioned a while back that we got a mini Bernedoodle we named Bindi. Her first birthday was May 22nd. She received a treat and spent time with us and the cockapoos on the front porch.

This month we got the graves decorated and went to a concert in the park where there was music from the WWII era as well as classic songs to celebrate America and our Armed Forces. We also toured a business that has a large display of military uniforms, artifacts, and memorabilia.

Mom and I went shopping at a local nursery and got some geraniums and petunias. We bought some vegetables from an Amish Greenhouse and purchased a print for the house that is a landscape scene and highlights two geese which remind us of a story my husband wrote in college.

I’ve had a lot of bookish conversations at work and they spurred me to read some of the YA speculative fiction on my TBR. I also read children's and self-help books and added Taylor's Master Guide to Gardening to our book collection.
