Memory Book
Most of you know I love history. Well, in November I did something I hadn't expected I'd do. I put together a memory book that told the story of a man I'd met as a teenager - my father-in-law.
We'd been gifted the family photos and memorabilia so it was easy to create this memory book. I started by digitizing photos and designed the front cover with a center image flanked by 2 smaller images on either side. Above the center image, is his name, and below his date of birth and death - directly beneath this are the words Forever in Our Hearts.
I divided the book into captioned sections that celebrated moments in time for the life he lived. When you open to the first page of the memory book you find the image above
The book encompasses images of him as a child - his teenage years- and college - his move to Chicago, and the work he did there.
The book describes how he returned to his hometown, married, and started a family. Images of trips he'd taken with family revealed the joy all shared. There are weddings, children born, and celebrations. Included were newspaper clippings of scout troops he led and his volunteer work for the American Red Cross.
Overall this treasured memory book communicated a life that was well lived and included much love.
I want to thank you for your support! I did not post any reviews in November but this blog viewership remained strong with visitors from the United States, Germany, Finland, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Singapore, Czechia, Sweden, France, Hong Kong, Philippines, Russia, India, Israel, Pakistan, Japan and Mexico
