THE WOLF WITH CRIMSON EYES is an eclectic collection of poetry about many aspects of life. There are poems inspired by strong emotion, both love and despair, as well as poems. Inspired by Kipling and Tennyson although the author is quick to point out that inspiration does not equate to the ability to replicate the works of those giants of literatatatin The poems. This book is written in The hope that they can evoke emotions from the reader who can perhaps associate his or her own feeling, experiences and questions about life with the works in the book. No jingles or cute puppies but an attempt to break down real life experiences into melodic rhymes that capture the intensity of those moments.

Review: The Wolf with Crimsom Eyes and other poems...

Years ago, I read a book by Author John Earl Sharp that I just loved. Well, Sharp is at it again, and this time he had penned a collection of artistic elements and expressions within text and titled this collection THE WOLF WITH CRIMSON EYES and other Poems.

I have to admit that I  was surprised that the first poem about the wolf was  15 pages long. However, it did not surprise me that it was spectacularly written.

In addition to The Wolf with Crimsom Eyes some of my favorites are  Bullet in the Bone, Caledonia, and Battlements of Glory.

Sharp truly excels in bringing elements together that allow the reader to consider many different themes and interpret them in a way that relates to them.
